Because brown rice contains arsenic, I would pre-boil the brown rice for about 15 minutes, then rinse it well in a strainer before adding to the recipe . . . maybe waiting a half-hour or so before adding the rice.

I made this one and thought it was yummy. I mixed the Parmesan into the recipe at the end. At first, I was concerned at the watery juice after cooking, but it all thickened naturally to my surprise once I took the lid off and began serving. Really tasty. I will add some mushrooms next time I make it. Thanks y’all!
Love this kind of meal. I've done similar but used a packet of lipton onion soup mix instead of the soup. I've done it with taco seasoning and added pinto beans for tacos.
